HomeSafe Grant Program

Safe Homes. Stable Lives.

The HomeSafe Grant Program is MI Path Home's flagship initiative — providing critical home repairs, accessibility improvements, and safety upgrades to low-income homeowners across Calhoun County, Michigan.

About the Program

Many homeowners in our community — especially seniors, veterans, and families with limited incomes — live in homes that are unsafe or inaccessible. Leaking roofs, broken heating systems, and missing accessibility features can make daily life dangerous and isolating.

The HomeSafe Grant Program bridges that gap. Through grants funded by community donations and partnerships, we connect qualified homeowners with vetted contractors and volunteers to complete essential repairs at no cost to the homeowner.

What the Grant Covers

Critical Repairs

Roofing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs that affect health and safety.

Safety Upgrades

Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, handrails, and structural fixes.

Accessibility

Ramps, grab bars, widened doorways, and modifications for aging in place.

Veteran Support

Dedicated assistance for veteran homeowners through our Veteran Housing Initiative.
